The homeowner wanted a second opinion on a system that kept freezing up. Our diagnostic visit confirmed a refrigerant leak in the indoor evaporator coil. We checked the rest of the equipment and documented what we found before recommending the repair.

Make the repair.
We replaced the evaporator coil and the filter drier, and flowed nitrogen through the lines while brazing the connections so the joints stay clean inside.

Document the finish.
We pulled a deep vacuum before charging, then ran the system and recorded the refrigerant pressures, superheat and subcooling.
