Drexel Heights AC, heating & plumbing — older or newer, all of it.

Picture Rocks Cooling, Heating & Plumbing is a licensed HVAC and plumbing contractor serving Drexel Heights and neighboring Valencia West and Tucson Estates. A repair visit is an $89 diagnostic, waived when you go ahead with the repair, the price goes in writing before work starts, and there's no trip charge anywhere in our service area.

Drexel Heights is an unincorporated Pima County community southwest of Tucson, near Ajo Highway (State Route 86). The housing stock runs the range — decades-old homes next to newer construction — and that mix shows up on both sides of the truck: aging ductwork and worn-out water heaters on one end, systems and plumbing that just need regular upkeep on the other. We work the whole house, so the second problem you noticed while we were there isn't a second company.

When the AC quits, book same-day AC repair. Common parts are priced flat: a capacitor about $210–$250, a contactor $300–$375. No heat in winter? Furnace repair, part of our heating services, includes a gas and carbon monoxide safety check on every visit.

In an older home, the honest fix is often smaller than a sales pitch wants it to be: sealed ducts instead of new ones, a repair instead of a swap, a right-sized system instead of an upsized one. When replacement is the answer, a new AC installation starts around $10,500 for a 2- or 3-ton system and around $11,000 for a 4-ton, sized with a Manual J load calculation; a heat pump gets the same sizing. Leaky old ductwork gets measured first with duct testing and sealing.

Tucson-area water is hard, and it shows up as scale on faucets, crust on shower heads and water heaters that age early. Before anyone sells you a softener, we test your water with a meter, with you there, and show you the number. If the reading says you need one, a whole-home water softener starts at $5,767, sized to the test and your household. If it says you don't, we tell you that.

For water heaters, installed prices start at $2,511 for an electric tank and $2,743 for a gas tank. Leaks, drains and fixtures are plumbing service: drain cleaning through an accessible cleanout is $225, and a sewer camera inspection is $129, so you see the problem before anyone quotes a dig.

Our Tucson service page covers the city next door, from Barrio Viejo to Rita Ranch. Out west, Picture Rocks is where the company started in 2001, and to the southeast, Sahuarita gets the same crews along I-19. All towns: service areas.
